Company Information |
In the 1980s Sears (Sears, Roebuck and Co.) was the biggest american department-store chain / mail-order house. Since 1977 until 1982 Sears produced and sold in a joint venture with Atari, the Atari developed consoles, peripherals and 58 game titles under its own brand. All games had typical Sears-design (boxes, cartridges and instructions) but only three were released by Sears exclusively (but developed by Atari): Submarine Commander, Stellar Track, and Steeplechase. In the present there are still many Sears department stores, but the number has dropped significantly in recent years. |
