Module Information |
MCA (Music Corporation of America), the owner of Universal Pictures and thus of the rights to the Steven Spielberg film "Jaws", threatened to sue Apollo for copyright infringement by Lochjaw. In order to avoid a costly lawsuit, the title was promptly changed to "Shark Attack". Rumor has it that about 1000 already produced copies with the title "Lochjaw" were shipped to Venezuela, where they may still be waiting in some warehouse to be rediscovered... |
Company Information |
Apollo was founded in 1981 as an early third-party developer for the Atari 2600 video game system, based in Richardson, USA. When the North American video game crash of 1983 occurred, they were one of the first software companies to declare bankruptcy. The distributioners of Apollo games in Europe were ITP in Italy and RCA in France. |
